The short version. You buy a one-time license to use Orientim on your own machines, for personal or commercial work. It's sold "as is." It's a strong safety tool, but it can only limit spend on traffic that actually passes through it — so it isn't a guarantee against every possible charge. If it's not for you, email us within 14 days for a full refund.
By downloading, activating, or using Orientim (the "Software"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software and request a refund as described below.
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on machines you own or control, for both personal and commercial projects. A single purchase includes both the Windows and macOS builds and updates within the v1 series.
Orientim runs locally and enforces a spend limit by blocking requests that pass through its proxy once a limit is reached. Cost is metered from provider usage data — exact where the provider reports it, and otherwise estimated from token counts and model rates that you can adjust.
Important — what it cannot do. The Software can only limit spend on requests routed through it. It cannot control, and is not responsible for, charges that occur outside its proxy — including tools that route through their own cloud (for example Cursor), provider-side minimums or subscriptions, usage from other applications, or your provider account itself. Cost figures are provided on a best-effort basis and may differ from a provider's final bill. You remain solely responsible for your provider accounts, keys and spending.
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will prevent every unwanted charge.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including provider API charges, lost profits, or lost data.
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If the Software isn't right for you, email support@orientim.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll issue a full refund — no need to explain yourself. Refunds are processed through our payments provider, Creem (the Merchant of Record for your order).
Your license covers the version you download. We provide support by email and may release occasional fixes, but ongoing updates are not guaranteed, and any future major version may be offered as a separate purchase.
This license ends if you materially breach these terms — for example by redistributing the Software or your key. On termination you must stop using and delete the Software. The refund window in section 7 still applies.
We may update these terms; the date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
